I used a photocopier in this book project to degrade the text to distort its meaning, in turn breaking down the barriers of language with a concealed and revealed approach.
Each page was photocopied and the resulting copy reinserted into the copier thus taking on the imperfections of the copy before it eventually resulting in the image being completely worn away.
The seemingly nonsensical phrase appears as if from nowhere and questions the traditional idea of a book as containing a plethora of useful information.
The phrase 'Tangent Noses Beneath A Desert Ruin' is ment to be deliberately ambiguous so as to conjour up multiple different interpretations depending on the tone of voice and reader perspective. A divergent path of investigation using a process based method, this exploration into gaining meaning from banality leaves it up to the reader to decide whether the end result is a terminal break down of sense or something else entirely.
